ACCESS STATEMENT FOR PIGLET PLACE

 

 

Unfortunately Piglet Place is not wheelchair accessible.

 

It is therefore LEVEL M1 accessible holiday accommodation.

(Suitable for a person with sufficient mobility to climb a flight of steps but would benefit from fixtures and fittings to aid balance.

 

The ground floor.

 

The threshold at the front door is the only low step into the property.  The ground floor is on one level.  By request two high seat armchairs can be provided.  The fixed worktops in the kitchen, with overhead lighting, are suitable for visually impaired guests.  

There is emergency lighting in the hall and on the first floor landing, which automatically comes on if there is a power cut.

The under-stairs cupboard can be entered at full height, for easy storage, and easy access to its contents.

 

The staircase has a rise of four stairs and a platform, rising a further four stairs to the landing.

At the top of the stairs there is a constantly illuminated light switch, and another emergency light.

 

The first floor.

 

The bathroom has a grab rail on the wall over the bath.

 

The shower has a step up to access, and a grab rail.

 

Both rooms have over the basin additional lighting.
